Positions Available - Sales and Marketing Assistant

The Paperwork Group is an innovative Australian education technology start up. Our ParentPaperwork online forms platform replaces paper forms in K-12 schools and moves them to a software-as-a-service cloud. We have customers in eight countries and growing. Our office overlooks St Kilda Junction in Melbourne, close to both tram and train. It’s a small team, led by our two founders, but we don’t bite, and this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a business that’s making school administrator’s lives better, saving schools money and helping the environment.

Why is this role important to us?

We have a team of two people who lead our sales and business development effort. This is a new role designed to support their day to day activities to free up their time to connect with more potential customers and close more sales. You’ll have experience in sales and marketing using CRM and digital marketing tools, and be energetic and motivated to help the team improve sales efficiency and productivity.


The primary objective is to provide a range of day to day support to our sales and business development team.

  • Manage data in our CRM (Zoho), enter and update leads and potentials, ensure records are up to date at all times
  • Track inbound leads, update to the CRM, ensure the team is following up
  • Track pipeline progress of potential customers and provide reports to the team for follow-up each day/week
  • Research new leads, contacts and opportunities via online and phone
  • Prepare sales proposals and marketing materials for distribution
  • Assist with implementing lead generation campaigns both offline and via automated online marketing tools (Autopilot)
  • Assist with coordinating appointments for presentations and demonstrations
  • Assist with post-sales follow-up and account management


  • Willingness to learn and become familiar with our platform and products
  • Strong experience in managing CRM data and generating reports (preferably Zoho)
  • High general degree of competency with online tools like LinkedIn, Google Apps
  • Experience with automated/digital marketing automation such as Autopilot
  • Great communication skills - written and in person
  • Friendly, positive, energetic and motivated attitude - we’re a small team so it’s all hands on deck
  • Previous exposure to the education sector is great but not essential


This is a permanent position, with a three month initial probation. You will work from ParentPaperwork’s office in St Kilda (we are right on St Kilda Junction, close to tram, light rail and the train).
